FAQs

Answers to common questions about monk fruit, how it works, and how to use Keto & Green Monk Fruit Infusion.

Q: What is monk fruit?
Monk fruit is a small fruit traditionally grown in Southern China, known for its naturally intense sweetness.

Its sweetness comes from naturally occurring compounds called mogrosides, which taste sweet but are used in very small amounts.

Our Monk Fruit Infusion is made by extracting whole monk fruit using water.

Nothing else is added.

  • No erythritol.
  • No stevia.
  • No fillers.
  • No preservatives.

This creates a simple liquid ingredient made from monk fruit and water, designed to be used drop by drop for natural sweetness.

Q: Where does your monk fruit come from?
Our monk fruit is sourced from Guangxi in Southern China, the traditional growing region for monk fruit cultivation.

The climate and agricultural expertise in this region are known for producing monk fruit prized for its natural sweetness and quality.

Guangxi is also notable for its unusually high number of centenarians, which has contributed to the region's long cultural association with longevity and traditional food practices.

Q: Is it a sweetener?
Our Monk Fruit Infusion is not a typical sweetener additive.

It is positioned as a naturally sweet food ingredient, similar in spirit to honey or maple syrup.

The difference is potency.

Because monk fruit is naturally very sweet, it is used drop by drop rather than spoonfuls, making it easy to enjoy sweetness with minimal sugar intake.

Q: What makes monk fruit sweet?
Monk fruit contains naturally occurring compounds called mogrosides.

These compounds are intensely sweet but are used in very small amounts.

Because of this potency only a few drops are needed to sweeten drinks or recipes.

This is why a typical 6-8 drop serving provides sweetness similar to a teaspoon of sugar while contributing less than 0.2g carbohydrates.

Q: What are mogrosides?
Mogrosides are naturally occurring sweet compounds found in monk fruit.

They provide intense sweetness without raising blood sugar in the way table sugar does when used in typical serving amounts.

They are also widely studied for their antioxidant properties.

Because mogrosides are highly potent, monk fruit can be used in small drop servings rather than spoonfuls of sugar.

Q: Is it keto?
Yes.

A typical serving of Monk Fruit Infusion (around 4-6 drops) contains less than 0.2g carbohydrates and no added sugar. ,

This makes it suitable for low-carb, keto and reduced-sugar lifestyles.

Q: Does monk fruit contain sugar or carbs?
Monk fruit naturally contains sugars, like any fruit.

However, because monk fruit is used drop by drop a typical serving (around 4-6 drops) contains:

  • Less than 0.2g carbohydrates
  • Less than 1 kcal

This allows sweetness to fit easily into everyday routines without the large sugar quantities found in traditional sweeteners.

Q: How do I use it?
Start with 4-6 drops in tea, coffee, yogurt or recipes and adjust to taste.

Monk fruit is  naturally very sweet, so a little goes a long way.

You can stir it into drinks, blend it into smoothies, add it to yogurt bowls or use it when baking.

Q: Why water?
Monk fruit has traditionally been extracted using water to draw out its natural sweetness from the whole fruit.

This method allows us to create a liquid infusion that can be used drop by drop, without isolating compounds or adding fillers.

The result is a simple ingredient: monk fruit and water.
